P.J. Hay

Mr. Percival J. Hay was one of the founder members of the Society and the Hon. Secretary for many years.

Among many actions to promote the Society, he inaugurated the January Lecture in 1930. Following his untimely death in 1943 the annual guest lecture was renamed in his honour.

Peter K Wishart, MB ChB, DO, FRCS (Glasg), FRCOphth

    Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon, Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool

Qualified MBChB, 1976 University of Aberdeen.

 Ophthalmology training at King’s College Hospital, St Thomas’s Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. Fellowship in glaucoma with Professor George Spaeth, Philadelphia, USA 1982 and with Professor Roger Hitchings at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London,1984-85. Since 1986 he has been a Consultant in charge of the glaucoma unit at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. Peter has 60 publications dealing with angle closure glaucoma, visual field analysis and the surgical treatment of glaucoma.
